    U.S. and the World
The United States of America is one of the largest, most inspiration nations in the world. In the world, I think the United States should take the role of setting examples of what the average person stands up for. For example, in America we fight for what we believe in. It's wrong for women not to have equal rights to men, so women have protested and fought for equality. In other countries, women don't even have a chance for equal rights, and if they fight for these rights, leaders publicly humiliate them, or severely punish them. In another country, Swaziland "women are forbidden to wear clothing resembling menswear, and if one is caught in public displaying pants, they are subject to having them forcibly ripped off of them by soldiers, and humiliated" (listverse.com). In America we can express ourselves how we want compared to other countries. In the Islamic Republic of Iran, they "banned several "decadent" Western men's hairstyles, including the mullet, spikes, and ponytails. Hair don'ts are punishable by fine" (mentalfloss.com). In America, we can dress and look how we want, when we want. In America, we need to stand for unity, and lead in world unity. After all, unity leads to immunity. If we stand together, we are invincible. For example, in World War II America worked together to stand up for our beliefs, to defeat evil. Together, we won. We need to unite with our allies too. We need to work with them to make the world a better place. We need to work with other countries to a point where we let all their voices be heard, but they don’t go against us. We must all equally be heard. We can't think of deals that only benefit other countries, and not the U.S.. We also can't think up deals that only benefit us. We must all be equal in this world. The United States needs to pull back on our level of dominance a bit. It's nice to have so much power, but it seems we take advantage of other countries sometimes in deals, and it's not right. America has had a history of taking advantage of others. For example, we've taken advantage of Natives before and pushed them into small areas of land. We need to have fair say, but pull back on our power. From what I heard about Trump's Asia tour, I think that Trump needs to be more fair, and communicate better. At first, he was a good enough guest, but once he got to Beijing, everything went down hill. He wasn't exactly fair with the leader, and took advantage of their kindness. When he got back to the U.S., he made many complaints of his tour and the places he visited. He should've complained to the leaders of these places what he thought was unfair. Trump is only willing to complain from a far, proving he isn't very good with relationships, and sharing his ideas with others when it really matters.

In 1763, the Treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian War and resulted in some of the largest territorial changes in all of World History. France gave up all of Canada and Louisiana which were divided between Britain and Spain. Britain took Canada, and all of what becomes the United States including Spanish Florida from the Appalachians to the Mississippi River. With the French threat eliminated, and Native American resistance greatly weakened, American settlers flood West into the Ohio territory. A Huron chief, Pontiac- organizes a coalition of tribes to fight back and begins attacking and seizing British forts on the frontier. Just when it seemed that all was set for Britain to bring its troops home, it had to send them back into action in defense of American Colonists.

    Veterans Day
American veterans are important to the well-being of our country. Without veterans and soldiers fighting for our protection, what would our country be? Like in WWII for instance, without America's soldiers bravely charging into battle in places they have never seen before what would the world be like now? Without our veterans who sacrificed themselves, wars around the history of the world would have different outcomes. Veterans are people just like us but have sometimes been treated differently. Now we say our thank you's and pay our respects to the soldiers who passed, but back then, things were different. After the Vietnam War, soldiers who returned were treated unfairly for doing what had helped save millions of peoples lives. But now, veterans are treated with the highest respect. Many family members have veterans and being a veteran is one of the proudest titles a person in our country can wear.

    U.S and the World
I feel like U.S as an internationalism is natural. We have been part of both World Wars even if we did not want to. The Korean War is a good example of how the U.S is an internationalist. The U.S helped South Korea drive out North Korea by sending troops and pushing the UN to help the democratic country. This shows that being an internationalist country is not the worst thing in the world, but should be accepted by other countries. However, this does not mean that America should intervene in every skirmish between countries. This could lead to rises like Hitler and the Nazis, trying to connect the world, but not in the best way. Too much internationalism could cause more fights between countries to break out, but for the most part, the U.S is doing the right thing in the fight between the two Koreas. I know on a personal level that the tension between the two countries are very high, but the South Koreans are grateful for the help. Although if you intervene too much for any country, there could be a difference of opinion clash, which could lead to separating of allies, like in the French and Indian war. But for the most part, allies help countries grow while too many enemies can bring countries down.

    Veterans Day
Veterans sacrifice a lot for us. If the veterans didn't do what they did for us, our country wouldn't be a country. Thanking a veteran for their service allows them to know that their sacrifice was not in vain and that they are acknowledged. Veterans Day is a day to honor our veterans for their sacrifices, bravery, and patriotism. It is because of our veterans that we have all of our freedoms and order today. We should always respect, honor, and thank our veterans for their service at any time possible. Veterans give us a lot and we should give them all we can give back as they are the ones who allow us to get in the first place. My grandmother, my grandfather, my great-grandfather, and my great-grandmother have all served in the military. U.S. and the World
The U.S. should be a leader for others, because the U.S. is a role model to other countries, having a representative democracy, a very good economy, and a good moral system. Right now we are in internationalism, intervening in other countries' business when we feel necessary. We don't want to be in imperialism, extending power by exploiting weak points, but sometimes we do that. Take Hawaii, for example, as it once had a monarchy. However, we took over by force and that is how the US got its 50th state. Sometimes it might be good to go to collective security, collaborating together to influence events, as seen by history, the leading country usually takes the brunt of the attacks. Since we are in internationalism, we have to give more resources for those in need, but too much giving and our country will become weak. Part internationalism and part collective security will make it possible to lead without becoming too weak. U.S. and the World
Is there any way you think that the U.S. could nudge North Korea away from its nuclear arms program and towards more peaceful engagement with South Korea and other neighbors for starters? Is the U.S. best positioned for this, or do you think that maybe this would be better left up to China, South Korea, Japan, or Russia?
